2048 Halloween

2048 Halloween applies the sliding-merge format to a Halloween tile set. Every move slides the whole board in one direction, identical tiles that collide merge into the next value up, and a new tile arrives after each move. Two limited-use helpers set it apart from a plain implementation: you can shuffle the board or regroup its contents, which buys a way out of a jam that would otherwise be terminal.

Objectives

The run ends or fails when

• A full board with no adjacent equal tiles left to merge ends the game.

• Directional sliding moves every tile at once, and equal tiles merge on collision into the next value.
• One new tile spawns after each move, steadily reducing free space.
• Shuffle and regroup helpers can be used a limited number of times to break a deadlock.

• Pick one corner for your biggest tile and never slide it away from that corner
• Favour two directions and treat the third as a last resort
• Hold the shuffle back until the board is genuinely stuck, not merely awkward
